Two Days Addis Ababa and its surroundings tour itineraries offers a visit to Awassa, Tiya and Adady Maryam.
DAY. 1: DRIVE TO AWASSA
Morning:-
After having breakfast, Drive to Awassa via Butajira.
On the way you will visit the archeological sites of….
– Tiya (ancient stelae field and UNESCO World Heritage Site)
– Adadi Maryam (a rock-hewn church similar to those in Lalibela)
– Melka Kunture (pre-historic tool-making site). Final destination for the day is Awassa.
Overnight: Hotel at the lake side city of Awassa. (B, L, D)
DAY. 2: AWASSA – ADDIS ABABA
Morning:-
After breakfast, visit the local fish market on the shores of Lake Awassa and take a boat trip on the lake to visit the hippos. Finally, return to Addis Ababa.
Evening:-
Farewell dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant featuring dancers and musicians representing some of the country’s many ethnic groups. Transfer to airport for late night departure if needed.
Overnight: In Hotel in Addis Ababa. (B, L, D)
